What is verbal bullying?
Verbal Bullying is defined as being when an individual uses their words instead of physical altercations with the goal to "tear down" another individual's self-esteem.
Verbal Bullying includes:
-teasing, and
-saying certain things in order to down-grade the other person.
Who usually partakes in Verbal Bullying?
Girls usually are the individuals to involve themselves with verbal bullying.
Why is Verbal Bullying harder to identify than other types of bullying?
Unlike physical bullying, for instance, verbal bullying does not leave visible scars or bruises on the body. Verbal bullying shows no actual proof of bullying--it is based upon "the word of mouth." This, in turn, makes it difficult to identify verbal bullying at all.
As any other type of bullying, verbal bullying leaves one to have many negative effects (which can be seen in the tab "Results of Bullying").
