What have some studies shown about bullying?
Some studies give researchers much needed information about bullying and the way that it can effects an individual or even individuals in the future.
For instance a study done by Liz Claiborne states that:
-Thirty percent of victims plan to get revenge on their tormentors.
What could this kind of mentality do to an individual?
-When an individual has this kind of rage, there is NO LIMIT to what they could do.
-Having no boundaries creates danger for everyone--the victim, the bully, and the by-standers.
A survey done by the British Organization Kidscope revealed that:
-Twenty percent of victims of bullying reported AT LEAST one attempt to commit suicide.
-Kidscope's results had also shown that kids have went as far as taking guns as well as other weapons to school as a response of being bullied.
Bullying results in both long and short-term effects. The effects could include the following:
-trouble at school,
-low self-esteem,
-depression, and
-violent and/or fatal behavior.
